Translator- Iraq

The Translator will be responsible for accurately and efficiently translating written and spoken material from Arabic to English
and vice versa. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication between diverse stakeholders for translating all incoming &
outgoing official correspondences to ensure accurate understanding & compliance within our operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Translation & Interpretation: Provide precise written and verbal translations of documents, contracts, reports, and
correspondence between Arabic and English. Facilitate real-time interpretation during high-level meetings, negotiations, and
conferences.
2. Minutes of Meetings : Attend internal and external meetings, accurately recording discussions, decisions, and action items
and archive records for future reference.
3. Correspondence Management: Oversee all official communications between internal stakeholders and other external
entities. Draft, review, and edit outgoing/incoming correspondence to ensure clarity, professionalism, and compliance.
4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain an organized database of translated documents and correspondence. Generate
periodic reports on translation activities and project progress.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [3-5] years of experience as translator, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills & interpersonal skills in both English & Arabic.
  • Expert on industry-specific terminology (oil/gas sector) and legal frameworks, applicable within Iraq.
