Job Purpose
The Environmental Gardener is responsible for the preservation and enhancement of the natural environment. This role focuses on sustainable landscaping, habitat restoration, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Landscape Management: Develop and maintain eco-friendly gardens and green spaces around sites, selecting native plants that promote local biodiversity.
- Soil Management: Monitor soil quality, implement erosion control measures, and conduct soil health assessments to ensure optimal growing conditions.
- Biodiversity Promotion: Create and maintain habitats for local wildlife, such as birds, insects, and other species, by planting diverse flora and managing existing ecosystems.
- Environmental Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas, reporting any issues related to plant health, pest control, or adverse environmental impacts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all gardening activities comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Project Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of environmental initiatives, including restoration projects and environmental impact assessments.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Initial Certificate (Diploma & Below), with extensive experience in landscaping or environmental conservation, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna, especially native species.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Shift Pattern: 6 Days ON, 1 Day OFF
