The Contracts and Procurement Coordinator will manage purchasing activities, contract administration, and supplier relationship management locally in Iraq. This role is essential for ensuring that all procurement processes comply with company policies and regulations, contributing to the efficient and cost-effective management of resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing and supplier selection for local purchases in Iraq.
  2. Coordinate with Suppliers/Contractors to get sealed tenders in line with RFQ/ITT instructions and maintain the log register.
  3. Coordinate with requesting depts to evaluate supplier’s technical proposals/sample of Goods.
  4. Ensure timely procurement of materials and services required for projects.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with Suppliers/Contractors, ensuring satisfactory performance and compliance.
  6. Resolve disputes and issues with Suppliers/Contractors promptly and effectively.
  7. Coordinate with Finance team to ensure timely submission of supporting documents for getting petty cash without any delays.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and supplier negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
